We have been working with W&L for some time now. They have been an extension of our team, helping us to move our mission forward. Their team provides us outstanding assistance in clarifying our approach to advertising, messaging, and communications. This partnership has empowered us to present a unified mission to our community, clear on-ramps for development, and a higher level of intentionality behind our efforts. It has been, and continues to be a pleasure working with W&L.

Consistency, Thoroughness, Attention to Detail.
I've been impressed for 3 years now working with Wabash & Lake on different marketing endeavors in the home improvement vertical. They fulfill the old axiom of "No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care". Joe and his team prove at each interaction that they care a lot and know even more.Response from the ownerArray

Q&A
Your website says that you are a long-term partner with your clients. What’s the longest you’ve worked with any client?
Answer from the ownerSeveral of our clients have been with us for almost a decade and a few more than that. We have helped grow and adapt their businesses through market changes, pandemics, staffing changes, multiple locations, expansions, and much more. All the while growing their bottom lines and overall success.
I’m considering hiring a Marketing Director. Why should I hire your team as a Fractional Marketing Director?
Answer from the ownerGreat question. Our team has been hired instead of a full-time marketing director many times now because of the efficiencies we bring to the table. Normally if you hire a marketing director you then need to secure an outside vendor or agency for graphic design, ad placement and creation, website work, consultation for sales language and presentations, and more. Our team brings all of these capabilities to your team and for less than the price of one full-time person. Plus we train and onboard much faster, and we don’t require benefits, new computes, software subscriptions and more.
What kinds of marketing do you specialize in?
Answer from the ownerWe operate as a high-performing Marketing Director of CMO should - which means that we can and do work on just about anything that your company needs - Long-term strategies that coincide with your operations, Brand Development, Copywriting and messaging, Sales Pieces & Presentation Development, Customer messaging and reviews, PR and email messaging, Advertising planning and execution for all mediums, SEO Analysis & Digital Strategy, websites, audio & Video creation, and much more.
My prior agency had surprise charges almost every month and it was hard to plan my budget appropriately. Your website says that you charge a flat monthly retainer fee. What other fees can I expect to pay?
Answer from the ownerGreat question. We do not operate as a normal agency and have never once had a surprise fee or upcharge for any of our clients. We promise to work as a dedicated member of your team and in doing so that means that we get the job done. No extra fees or markups.
Do you have a portfolio or samples of your past client work?
Answer from the ownerOf course! We have several on our website. At the same time we have almost a decade's worth of work that can be shared if our clients have given permission to do so.
Who is responsible for creating the content your team provides, and will I own it?
Answer from the ownerWe take this seriously. All work and data is always yours. We operate as a dedicated member of your team and always on your behalf. Our team creates the unique and impactful content that you need to match and enhance your brand and in the rare occasion that we work with an outside vendor (video shoot, print vendors, etc) we always direct and oversee the effort as a high-performing Marketing Director of CMO should.
There are a lot of options in marketing. What is your idea of success?
Answer from the ownerSuccess can be measured in many, many ways. A series of marketing pieces might look amazing but if you don’t close the business then how great are they? We work on your entire customer funnel to make sure everything is working together to be as efficient and effective as possible. Our goal is to see growth across as many metrics inside your business as possible for real and sustainable success.
How do you determine if you want to work with a client or not?
Answer from the ownerOur best clients are those who are willing to work with us as active and high-performing members of their team. If a business is simply looking for a vendor to do as they’re told then we walk away from the relationship. We are proud to be able to choose who we work with.
